La Marquesa Natural – Roasted Coffee
$14.00 – $22.00
Just north of Medellin in the rolling hills of San Jeronimo, farmer Reinaldo Zapata and family have been growing coffee for over 50 years. This coffee has a medium acidity and body. We love this one in a pour-over or French press.
What is a naturally processed coffee? We’re glad you asked! When a coffee cherry is harvested from the tree, traditionally, the cherry is removed as quickly as possible, before the coffee “bean” gets rinsed during the fermentation process. You’ve probably seen the term “washed” coffee before. A natural process, instead, goes through the drying process with the cherry still intact. This process can take weeks. More natural flavors soak into the coffee bean itself. This process is considered to be more environmentally friendly, as less water is consumed during fermentation.
IMPORTANT: In order to maximize freshness of the coffee, all of our coffee bags are shipped as WHOLE BEAN. All of our coffees are roasted to a medium level. Please specify in the order notes if you would prefer a special lighter or darker roast.

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Sweet, smooth, and fruity. I’m normally a 1 cup guy, but had to go for 2 after the first pour over. Tastes like a 5 dollar cup from a coffee shop. Would highly recommend!
